Tire360 Tire Identification System
Tire makers routinely test tires as a means of quality checking.  Tire360 incorporates many of these routine tests into an automatic test sequence. These include measurement for section width, circumference and tread radius; plus the location and height of treadwear indicators and corresponding tread depth. Profiles can be exported back to the CAD designer's software to compare the actual tire profile to the target profile. Tire360 runs CTWIST software to support treadwear programs, and reports all the standard parameters such as heel/toe wear, recessed lugs, diagonal wear, shoulder wipe, center wear and the like. Tire360 supports programs to periodically verify production tires for various molding problems like segment misalignment. Tire360 is a special-purpose line laser scanner that can digitize a tire from bead to bead in one revolution and acquire 120 million points in 8 seconds. Many users find they can greatly reduce routine tire testing time and labor with Tire360.
